How to go to SendNoods

You can basically just set off from Pilgrim Christian College or Dear Manok. It's in the leftmost part / corner of the building's first floor. You will not notice it unless you look closely~

Srsly so amazed how affordable it is there! For 88 pesos, you already get a set with 3 dumplings (clearly, we ate 1 of them before taking a photo 😅), and they come in hot. The set is enough for a small eater like me– my friend and I shared these two, actually. If you're a bigger eater, then it won't hurt your wallet much if you add more!

For the tonkotsu ramen, this may be bold of me to claim, but I have tried ramen in Japan 🤭, then I tried ramen in Botejyu (spoiler: it does NOT compare at all 😭)... So between Botejyu and SendNoods, the latter actually tastes better for me. I mean, maybe it was a bad day at Botejyu when I visited, but it was really meh. Anw, SendNoods noodles could be thinner thoooo

Again, their price point is very affordable, so I believe they're worth the try. Maybe I will try their XXL chicken or their other noods next~ What would YOU order?

My goal is to finish this list for real this year! I hope I can, to be honest, but the prices of this cafes aren't getting lower now, so it kinda hurts my wallet and I, especially when I don't get satisfied with the food and service. Anyways! Here goes my visit last Jan 4th~

How to go to Daily Dose Cafe

From Pabayo-Hayes, where the proben stands are, just cross 2 blocks (Macasandig way), and you will see it on the left side. It's easy to find, to be honest, but you have to LOOK. Like, I never saw it when I pass by here, but they actually have a lot of signs 😅

It was just us there - I expected more people, though. Was it a factor being there on a Saturday? The place was nice and they had this big mirror - there's something about mirrors that just make a place more aesthetic 🤣

Parmesan Truffle Chips and Chicken Tenders - ₱299

The prices were kinda steep for me... Especially the truffle chips and chicken tenders... Those were not the tenders I expected. They're more KFC fun shots-like? Though I did love that the truffle was subtle on the chips~

My sister ordered the aglio olio, and for me, it still needed more garlic / garlicky flavor. To be real, I'm really strict about my aglio olio 😅 For the biscoff latte, my sister said it had a cinnamon taste, and we're not a fan of that. So, if you order it, just be sure you like cinnamon!

Anyway, here's something I appreciated: they have a designated work area! There are sockets nearby too, so for freelancers like me who wanna work outside for a change, this is really good~

📍 Corner Corrales-Hayes St (Beside Xavier University) 📍

I have not been very active with visiting CDO cafes last year, but I want to make it a goal to visit more, if not all letters, this year! Anyways, my visit to this specific cafe was on July 2024, so their menu or prices may have changed. 

How to go to Cafe Perhaps

It's literally beside Xavier University / Ateneo de Cagayan University. Supposing you're at McDo in front of the univ, it's to the right. Just walk until you have to cross the street, then cross again towards the cafe. It has a big glass window, as seen from this view from the inside:

And yes, that's the aesthetic that will greet you as soon as you enter. This area is perfect, especially if you're solo, since the rest of the tables inside are bigger.

It was Saturday, but it wasn't that packed, so we got to take pics here freely, but I noticed there were many students (or they seem to be— basically, younger people 🤓 I'm not that old 😅). Maybe there were more customers on the weekdays.

Okay, here comes what we ordered! My sis and I ordered 1 dish each but meant it for sharing~

Winter Boba Tea - ₱95

For me, the prices are really reasonable and considerate to students. And to me, too 🤣 The drinks weren't anything exceptional, though, and as an aglio olio lover, I NEED MORE GARLIC. The name literally means 'spaghetti with garlic and olive oil', and it's my favorite pasta because of garlic. So, I kinda have high standards when it comes to this dish 😅

But it's not like we didn't finish it! It's still filling, but it's not the the aglio olio I'm looking for. If you have aglio olio recos in Cagayan de Oro, let me know!!!!
