Season 32, episode 1 🎂🎀🤎

Staying true to my 2025 bingo card (posting at least once a month), I'm here! And my birthday 1/6 just passed— I'm officially out of the calendar at 32 🙄🤣

After spending my birthday in SK January 2023, I promised myself I'd be always traveling, but it's been 2 years... 😅 But this birthdate is cursed with tickets soooo overpriced! Then again, I swear I will be somewhere else in the world next year. (Maybe Korea again because it's also 2Seung's birthday month..? If I had ME visa right now, I would actually be there for SMTown and 127 Momentum concert 😭💔)

 

Anyhoo, my birthday was a simple but still special day~ I wish I could have taken more pretty photos in a picturesque place, but it is what it is! I still enjoyed it the way I can here, but ISTG I will make it more memorable next year!!!!

 

I don't know, when you're older, you start doing all the work and decorating for yourself 🤣 Towards my birthday, I also watched episode 2 of 별들에게 물어봐 / When The Stars Gossip, which was an instant fave because Gong Hyojin, hello!? But honestly, it's fun so far, for meeee

 

I ended up sleeping so late (or early in the morning 😪) I srsly need to fix my habit of revenge bedtime procrastination... I do still get a lot of 8 hours sleep since I wake up late, but I don't think it's a healthy routine... (Health is wealth, girl 💢) I woke up 10AM, replied to some greetings, prepared myself, and took some photos in my room. I even had a random idea to do this NCTzen birthday TikTok:

I ended up leaving the house at past noon 😅 I planned to eat somewhere new, so I chose Max's at SM Downtown!

 

It wasn't a grand lunch at all, but pancit for long life, they said. So, I had to put some into my system 🤣 Their chicken is their signature, right, but it wasn't that spectacular 🤷‍♀️

 

I decided I'd buy myself a watch as a gift, but I couldn't find anything at SM that was pretty and also affordable, so I moved to Centrio, and SECURED! I walked back to SM again to decide on what more to do: I thought I'd watch Uninvited... There was a 3:30PM timeslot, and I was at the cinema booth at 3PM.

 

I was like, should I watch while waiting for the rest of my fam for dinner, but thought against it seeing the price at ₱570!?? I just couldn't justify it that moment, so I went to Miniso and bought more gifts for myself 😂 Got me more Sanrio 😗😘 (I will show you later on or something)

 

From my Big Bad Wolf Books feature, I haven't shared my haul, so here was one: The Power of Nunchi by Euny Hong. I've read some pages with my milk tea order (Thai or wintermelon weren't avail, so I settled with the basic Pearl), but I was srsly so sleepy! Was it because I slept late or was it because reading makes me sleepy now, what the heck...

 

But it's a really good read, so far. I have to say I have quick nunchi 😏, though of course not all the time. While reading, I thought of a number of people I wanna share this book with, actually! So, I may let them borrow after.

Birthday Dinner at Circa 1850

Or ACTUALLY, maybe I was up late cramming and searching where to eat my birthday dinner 🤣 I considered a lot of places, but my criteria was: very accessible and somewhere I haven't dine at yet.

 

Circa CDO won the personal bid, and I have to say... The price is so worth it with that steak 👏 I will never qualify for a food judge, much less a steak expert, but it was yummers~ I ordered the salmon, because I love salmon, but it wasn't that good. I didn't get to eat the beef brisket, but everyone else finished that too, so safe to say 👌

 

We don't eat a lot, so the portions were really good for sharing— I even think we ordered more than we can eat 😑

 

And here was the awkward but fun moment in a Filipino restaurant where they play the birthday music out loud. Thankfully, they don't do the staff dancing thing or else I will melt from awkwardness 🤣 They don't have a birthday cake event, though, like a free small dessert for the celebrant... We bought this cake 😅
