CDO cafes from A-Z: BRAVE WORK CAFE
⭐️ Continuing my personal series of visiting cafes in my city, Cagayan de Oro, in alphabetical order ⭐️

Now B for BRAVE WORK CAFE !
📍 Don Pacific Arcade, Atlantic St, Pueblo Business Park 📍
It's actually been a real while since Cafe letter A. To be honest, I kept postponing this because I'm a downtown girlie... Going uptown is just something I need to ready myself for? Like, going there has to have a purpose, and while I did have a purpose, this cafe, I was still overpowered by laziness (what's new).
Anyhoo, I finally set my heart out to "take responsibility" of this series, and I needed to get out of the house too, you know?
How to go to Brave Work Cafe
You can set off from SM CDO Uptown North Wing, go straight until you get to Atlantic St. You will see a group of establishments— this is the Don Pacific Arcade. Just go into Atlantic and it will be the resto beside the Happy-Bee convenience store.
Their page says it's in front of The Uptown Strip, which is true, but also not, because I thought it was EXACTLY in front of it... So I actually passed by Brave Cafe, passed by Uptown Strip, and even went to the other side of the street. I even thought, like, "Is this cafe actually not open anymore or something?"
So there was just 3 other people there with me. I initially sat in this 2-seat table with this view 👆 since I was alone, but the table wasn't really conducive for work. I did bring my laptop, especially because it's Brave WORK Cafe, right 😬
Now on to my order... I first ordered their Creamy Mac— I wanted pasta for lunch, but I didn't want aglio olio because that is my main pasta of all pastas. I just wanna try something else this time. Unfortunately, the mac wasn't available, and they offered Spanish Sardine Pasta and Creamy Beef Bacon Carbonara.
I am not exactly a carbonara fan 😅 So okay, I switched to the sardine pasta, then a few minutes after they said only the carbonara was available... So do yall want me to eat here or not 💢
My order at Brave Work Cafe
Creamy garlic parmesan specialty bowl - ₱145
Peach sparkling ade - ₱150
Total - ₱295
So this is how my food turned out. I ended up getting garlic parmesan chicken again 😵💫 But it came creamy + rice. It was actually a kinda new dish— chicken balls with creamy garlic parmesan sauce. As a chicken lover, I may have not tried chicken balls ever... 😅 The garlic parmesan isn't very strong though, but I really like the creaminess over the dry chicken. OOH SHE A FOODIE OR SUMN
The peach ade was nothing exceptional, I have to say. Peach was faint... I think I tasted more peach from McDo's Peach Fuzz (which I only tried once over food delivery and loved, then when I went in store to taste it again, it's not available anymore TF).
To be fair, Brave Cafe's prices are quite affordable. I cannot speak for big eaters, but the serving for the specialty bowl was a lot, I had to take my time finishing it. I was even hungry that time because that was my lunch at 2PM, so yeah.
I did move seats, if you haven't figured that out. I wish they do have more 2-seat tables because I don't wanna be hogging a whole ass long table. Of course, I would be open to share if there were a lot of people that time~
Brave Work Cafe Menu
A friend commented on my Facebook page that for next time, I should order their beef bowls, chicken wings and sandwiches. And that they also have B1T1 on cake slices after 7PM. Do what you want with this info! 🤭
OH, and that the sunset is pretty from their outdoor seats. I kinda feel regretful about this because I left at 4PM. I mean, I could've just ordered something else then stayed for the sunset view~ But again, I live downtown and was dreading the traffic going home.
My rating:
⭐️⭐️.5
Would I go back?
Yes / No / Maybe
P.S. Now where do we go for cafe letter C?
